I wanted to share the news about my new job that I just accepted a few weeks ago as “Mommy.” I’m not giving up my current positions as customer service representative or web designer/photographer, but I’ve have recently thrown in a side gig called “Mommy” including morning sickness, bloating, sore boobs (yeah, I said it), and the uncontrollable need for 12 hours of sleep each night available to me. I realize after the baby actually gets here, it will be more like a full time job! I am working over this evening to invite blog readers to check out the details of this new position with me –”Mommy.”
My first assignment is to get these ultrasound pictures up here on this world wide web so everyone that wants to see the baby for the first time can take a gander. The baby’s head is on the left and his feet are at the right. He was an active little babe during the ultrasound, turning completely over at first as if to show “Mommy” and “Daddy” that he is complete and so far doing mighty fine. He also decided to stretch out his little legs and flail his little arms as if to wave and say, “Mommy, I have two arms and legs and it is coming along fine so please you have nothing to worry about.” I loved the part when he stretched his little legs to show how long they were. You make think I am exaggerating, but you can ask Chad if you would like–he was very active and it seemed he was waving and introducing himself.
Now, I know you want me to hurry and just get to the pictures, so I will. I just have one more note to make. Up until now, I felt like this was a girl, but as you can see, we’ve been calling it a he ever since the ultrasound. I really don’t know what I think. I just know that at this point, I am choosing for some odd reason to refer to the baby as a little bundle of boy joy. I will be so ecstatic no matter what the sex turns out to be, as long as my baby is happy and healthy! Check back, as my morning sickness seems to be slacking off and I will feel like blogging more about what has just become a baby blog for atleast the next 7 months, or until we get our little geek his own web site. Ha ha!
It is much easier at times to use keyboard shortcuts instead of searching for these operations in the menu bar. Everyone is not familiar with some of the most useful keyboard shortcuts so I am posting the best shortcuts.
Hold down the CTRL key and press S to quickly SAVE.
Hold down the CTRL key and press C to copy something. Then you can go to where you want to paste this and hold down the CTRL key and press V.
Hold down the CTRL key and press A to select something. Note: You just need to have your cursor blinking somewhere inside the text and press CTRL-A and this will select the whole body of text. Also, the letters do not have to be in caps. I only typed it this way to make my instructions easier to read.
If my blog readers have any other topics on tasks that they are needing to figure out how to perform–feel free to email me or leave a comment about it to one of these posts, and I will see if I can find some helpful information to post up on my future blogs. Maybe this blog will make life a little easier for all of us and become a good reference guide. Happy blogging!
Turns out, it is quite easy to embed a youtube video in your blog post. Just copy (CTRL C) the “EMBED CODE” to the right of the youtube video you are interested in embedding in your blog post. Then login to your blog and click on the USERS option and then scroll all the way to the bottom and uncheck the box that says “Use the visual rich editor when writing.” Then click on WRITE and WRITE POST and put a title for your blog post in. Next, paste (CTRL-V) the embed code you copied from youtube.com into the blog post, along with any text you are including in your post. After you have published the post, go back into OPTIONS and recheck the box that says “Use the visual rich editor when writing.”
Hint: If you need to resize your video to fit well inside of your post template, you can adjust the width and height numbers in parenthesis at the end of the embed code that you copied. Play with this to figure out what looks the best. Also note that it may take a minute for your video to load, but it should show up in your post.
Ok, now that we have accomplished that—the next step will be to figure out how to post our own videos into our posts.

I am typing this post for some of my client bloggers. These “smileys” as we call them used in writing to convey emotions are setup to work inside of your WordPress blog posts. All you have to do is type the proper punctuation marks for the particular smiley you are trying to convey.
Click on this link to show the common key sequences to use for different Emoticons: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Smilies. Scroll about 2/3 the way down the page to find a chart of the key sequences. %\ This site, Wordpress.org can be a great resource to you about your blogging software.
Note when you are typing your post, the smiley may not show up, but after you press publish, the smiley will be in there correctly. If your smiley still does not seem to be working, type a space before and after the smiley text to prevent it from being included in the surrounding text. If you have any other questions concerning using your smileys, feel free to leave a comment and maybe I can help you figure out the problem.
Hello! My name is Pamela but Pam is what most call me. My Hawaiian name is Pama, which inspired me to use Pamaloha.com as my web site name. I also recently visited Hawaii and you can visit my travel blog if you are interested in my trip or want to see some photos of this beautiful chain of volcanic islands. It was like paradise.
I currently reside in a quiet little town named Archdale in North Carolina. I am a genuine coal miner’s daughter, born in Williamson, WV. I am also a “down-to-earth” young lady but I absolutely love going on the boat, train, or plane to just about anywhere! I also like shopping, cookouts by our pool, hanging out with my wonderful family, and believe it or not, working out with weights.
As you can tell by now, I am intrigued by the Internet and wonder what the world did before the invention of this technological advancement that we call the World Wide Web. In my mind, this is “a world of knowledge” at everyone’s fingertips. Any kind of information one may want to know about can be found on the web, and that excites me!
I personally think that each and every person probably has a good reason why a web presence would enhance his or her day to day life. Wherever your interests lie, I would love to be the person to assist you. I am a web savvy designer/developer whom would love to help you take your place on the web.
