Use of Emoticons or “Smileys” in WordPress Blog Posts

I am typing this post for some of my client bloggers. These “smileys” as we call them used in writing to convey emotions are setup to work inside of your WordPress blog posts. All you have to do is type the proper punctuation marks for the particular smiley you are trying to convey. ;-)

Click on this link to show the common key sequences to use for different Emoticons:  http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Smilies.  Scroll about 2/3 the way down the page to find a chart of the key sequences. %\  This site, Wordpress.org can be a great resource to you about your blogging software.
Note when you are typing your post, the smiley may not show up, but after you press publish, the smiley will be in there correctly. If your smiley still does not seem to be working, type a space before and after the smiley text to prevent it from being included in the surrounding text. If you have any other questions concerning using your smileys, feel free to leave a comment and maybe I can help you figure out the problem.
